Charles Nordeen leverages his filmmaking and visual effects expertise to craft affecting, meticulously composed visuals for some of the biggest brands around. As a director of features, spots, music videos, web content and TV series, Nordeen’s versatile background fuels a comprehensive storytelling approach from concept to delivery.
With a feature film under his belt that he directed, co-wrote, produced and appeared in, Nordeen’s enthusiastic hands-on sensibility infuses branded work for the likes of P&G, Coach, USA Today, Johnson’s Baby, Bounty/NFL and Faherty Brand. Working with major celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, comedian Josh Gad and 2010 NBA Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans, Nordeen has helmed PSA work for youth drinking water initiative WAT-AAH!, Haiti orphan nonprofit I’m-ME and Michelle Obama’s ‘Let’s Move’ initiative. In addition, he wrote, directed and provided vivid motion graphics for “The Mane Event,” a 90-second PSA for Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Nordeen’s work encompasses visually rich and poignant character-driven live action spots accompanied sometimes with design, visual effects, and engaging interactive capabilities. The young filmmaker was recently recognized with a place in the 2014 SHOOT / DGA’s New Directors Showcase.
